Ridley Scott (American Gangster, Aliens, Body of Lies) announced details of an upcoming project, which happens to be a movie based on the popular board game Monopoly. MTV Reports that the movies’ centralized theme will be “greed” and will feature a Donald Trump-like character.
This is most certainly an “Out of the Box” idea, no pun intended. How can you make a film about a board game? All I can think about is Jumanji which was pretty good. It seems like if this is pulled off right it could be a classic. Maybe I’m a bit biased since I am a self proclaimed Monopoly champion, but with Ridley Scott at the well it seems this project is in good hands.
