Apple delaying international release of iPad

Apple has released a press release indicating that because of unexpectedly strong iPad WiFi sales and pre-orders for the 3G iPad in the U.S., they are delaying the international release by a month (that means the end of May for the 3G). Apple says they have delivered over 500, 000 iPads during the first week of availability.

Apple will  announce international pricing and begin taking online pre-orders on Monday, May 10.

The sales numbers are not surprising to anyone who has been following the news. People who actually use an iPad even for a few minutes are generally finding it changes the way they use media and the Internet.
