Sony may join Apple in the tablet revolution

Sony makes the most amazing notebook devices. If you don’t believe us, check out the small, but action packedVaio Z series notebooks. Can you imagine what it would be like if Sony created an updated full-powered tablet (unlike the low-powered Vaio U50 in 2004)? Well, that may happen in the near future.

According to several sources, Nobuyuki Oneda, Sony’s chief financial officer, said the company is “very interested”in the tablet market, and that the company hopes to create a product in that space soon.

Let’s hope Sony creates a tablet that is more like a  full-power computer than Apple’s iPad, which is more like a gigantic iPod Touch (not that there’s anything wrong with that). A new Sony tablet would be a geek’s dream come true.

Meanwhile, Sony fans in Los Angeles should definitely check out the Vaio Store at the Beverly Center. They have all the newest models on display.
